The church is looking at the effects of the Government's proposed changes to the Gambling Laws, currently going through Parliament. Both the Methodist Church and the Salvation Army are alarmed at some of the proposals, some of which would be allowing gambling on Easter and Christmas Day. In line with other denominations we are drawing up guidelines for those interested in contacting their MPs. Baptist Assembly - Celebrating Diversity - Saturday 23rd April

The annual Baptist Assembly is the opportunity to join with the Baptist family for celebration, encouragement and fun as we worship, pray and relax together. This year the event will take place at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham with a 'Diverse' concert in the evening. We are planning for a coach trip to attend from Gildersome. More details will follow, but in the meantime please let Sue Wheater know if you would like to attend.
